My name is Timon Grandič, I am main designer for Pro.portion design studio. Since I was a little kid I always liked to explore different features and aesthetics that different products brought to the table. For me to make sense the products needed to hit me from every angle, the weight, the size, the color, the material, the functionality, the ease of use, the elegance, the sound and of course the shape which was so inviting that it made want to have it at any cost. Later I studied, mechanical engineering where I learned much about how the things around us are built together and which processes are necessary to put them together. The real passion developed later on as I started to work in a successful casino gaming and nautical company Alfastreet. I started to work there as a constructor and CAD designer in their R/D department. Later on they trusted me with more complex and wholesome projects where I also implemented my product design skills and expanded my knowledge in new softwares that are used for 3D rendering and graphic designing. To keep the traction going I simply started to offer my skills to others and started to freelance for other companies and projects which shaped me even more as a product designer. Between all this years I also managed to create partnership and network of different manufacturing suppliers ( CNC machining, metal bending, injection moulding, woodworking…) which is a great support for me and your company during the prototyping process and later on production. With almost 10 years of practical experience in construction and product design R/D, I learned to recognize smart design features and aesthetic proportions which compliment one another in different scenarios and variations, creating functional and eye pleasing solutions.
